Warm sun and cool beaches and Waterpiks

 November 12th, 2008

That’s a tantalizing forcast.( How do you spell “forcast”? My ABC is not working?)

That is the life I am leading now and I must say it is a balm to my jaw. The sun warms it; the beach soothes the ache; the breeze cools my head and lets me think happy thoughts. I am indeed lucky to live in this beautiful place in the winter.

I have said this before but it is worth repeating. I love my Waterpik. Used to have the battery powered one, but it never worked. Actually, I had three before it occured to me that they were not meant to be lugged around in a suitcase. But, what else would they be for? Anyway, the new Waterpiks have the pics in the cover. Several, and the cover fits on the reservoir compactly. There are also 3 or 4 different settings so you really can get into your poor banded or otherwise compromised teeth. You can distinguish this new one by its aqua reservoir. CVS doesn’t seem to have them, but Walgreens does. So much for an update on the Waterpik.

Napping on the Sofa

 October 26th, 2008

I just discovered something that I should have understood years ago. I love to nap on the sofa. Bed just doesn’t cut it. Something wonderful about plopping down for 20 minutes in the afternoon that just enlivens my dinner hour and evening. Perhaps it has something to do about getting off your feet??

Anyway, the discovery. If my head is propped up at less that a 45 degree angle, my jaw hurts the rest of the day. If I lay a bit more down, it is okay. Also it is okay if I sit straight, but I never sit up straight despite all those years of my mother’s nagging. I will keep this in mind for my daily naps, and hope it helps you too.
